ABOUT

After several months away, Pamfir returns to his family on the eve of a traditional carnival. Because of how unconditional their love is, Pamfir is forced to reconnect with his unhappy past in order to make up for his only child's mistake of starting a fire at the prayer place. He will be led down a dangerous path with unrecoverable consequences.

DIRECTOR

DMYTRO SUKHOLYTKYY-SOBCHUK

Dmytro Sukholytkyy-Sobchuk was born in Uman, Ukraine, in 1983. He graduated in 2013 with a degree in feature film directing from the Kyiv National Karpenko-Karyy University of Theatre, Film, and Television. As director he produced several award-winning short films during his studies, many of which were chosen for participation in international film festivals. His first short film made after film school graduation, Weightlifter (2018), won a number of major cinema prizes in Ukraine.
